The former high school in Abbiategrasso square is located in a municipal development plan area. Intended for public spaces or reserved for group activities. In this project is involved the converting school spaces in student accommodation.
The building is located in an area of considerable interest, connected directly to the square Abbiategrasso, which presents a node with the underground and the passage of many tramlines. The square itself is equipped woth public green up to Naviglio Pavese.
The project aims is to make the building a center of attraction in the neighborhood that combines the function of residence for students with other functions for the community.
The two blocks will identify two different functions: the longitudinal building will contain the dormitories and common areas for users of the residence. The building crosswise it will play a role in dialogue with the square with the coffee shop, common areas and the auditorium.
